Bottle @ RBESG Grand Tasting 2009. Pale blonde, cloudy. Grassy aroma with lemon and traubenzucker. Grassy citric flavor with just an hint of coreander. Not really interesting.

Slightly hazy pale golden coloured body with a thinnish soapy white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, a bit of coriander seed and some must. Light-bodied; Strong assertive wheat and some curacao laced in - along with a good clean, fresh taste. Aftertaste shows some bittering flavours, but the final flavours are smooth, dry and not really assertive. Overall, a pretty smooth and refined wit, not much going on, but what is going on, is pretty good actually! I sampled this pint on draught at Kooper’s Tavern in Baltimore, Maryland on 24-July-2009.

Bottle from Utobeer, drunk whilst watching the Tour de France on a Friday just before eating which is my favourite time for a wit. Cereally wheaty aroma. Solid wit with plenty of cereal in mouth, some good light lemon and some hop without getting too soapy. Solid and does everything you would expect.

Bottle, The Cave, Glasgow. Definite extra marks for paying homage to the home of the great HST, and the Steadman graphics on the label. The brew ain’t too shabby either. Slightly hazy light golden pour with a wee white head that lingered. Clove and citrus aroma with a hint of banana. More of the same in the flavour with trace coriander and hop. Zesty and nicely thirst quenching.

Bottle at ABC beer tasting. Poured a nearly clear pale gold with a white head. Aroma reminded me of wet dog, perhaps some coriander. Flavor was basic some undertones of orange.
