Cask at the Arch and Abbey, Whitby. Pours clear amber with a thin off-white head. Aromas of malt, caramel, light herbal hops. Taste is more of the same. Thin sweet finish. Bit wassy.

Cask pint in the Brewery Tap, Chester on 20th Sep 2020. Amber body, off-white topping. Light malty front to the aroma and taste, mild hop bitterness mid-sip; not too 'Special' in my opinion, but it's fine for a 4.2% Bitter.

Bottle at home – as always these days ! Fresh hops are the main strand in the nose, though there is also some marmalade there.. Pours a palish amber with a bubbly off-white head that soon dissipates. In the mouth it is sweet and malty, with marmalade again. Finish is dry and bitter. Nice enough – but not “special” ! PS just read the official description - it's not dark and ruby either !

Third, cask at Brewery Tap. Shared with Finn. Bright golden-brown body, spotty lacing, fair lacing. Malt-fruity nose, semi sweet. The taste profile brings caramel malts, and doughy fruits. Bittersweet ending, well balanced. Quite nice bitter version. (Chester 26.01.2020).

Delt med Rune. Gyldenbrun. Lavt tett skum. Aroma av malt & litt frukt. Smaken balansert. Kjeks. Mere frukt. Tørr bitter avslutning.
