Cask pint in the Brewery Tap, Chester on 20th Sep 2020. Amber body, off-white topping. Light malty front to the aroma and taste, mild hop bitterness mid-sip; not too 'Special' in my opinion, but it's fine for a 4.2% Bitter.

Bottle at home – as always these days ! Fresh hops are the main strand in the nose, though there is also some marmalade there.. Pours a palish amber with a bubbly off-white head that soon dissipates. In the mouth it is sweet and malty, with marmalade again. Finish is dry and bitter. Nice enough – but not “special” ! PS just read the official description - it's not dark and ruby either !

Third, cask at Brewery Tap. Shared with Finn. Bright golden-brown body, spotty lacing, fair lacing. Malt-fruity nose, semi sweet. The taste profile brings caramel malts, and doughy fruits. Bittersweet ending, well balanced. Quite nice bitter version. (Chester 26.01.2020).
