16.9oz bottle-pours a foamy off white head and gold color. Aroma is fruity, musty, some spice hops. Taste is sour fruity-apple, musty wheat, some spice hops, yeast. Clear-no cloudiness, not as much head as standard, no banana, sour is more dominant.

Pours a cloudy copper, with a fizzy body, but minus the creamy head I associate with the better hefes (ie. Weihenstephaner) - somewhat sweet aroma, with lots of clove, a spicy, ginger-like character, tangy citrus fruits, and grain - fairly dry and tart, bordering on sour - quite bready and yeasty, with quite a spicy clove flavor - because of how dry the beer is, the yeastiness creates an odd mouthfeel on top of it - finish of stale hops and light bubblegum and fruitiness - lacking quite a bit of character.

A disappointment compared to their other beers. My sample might have been old because it looks like this receives good scores generally. The standard wheat and banana are there. Cloudy orange, but no visible sediment.

Bottle (Dank an Jonas !) Deep golden, unclear, mid-sized creamy head; moderate toasted wheat-malty nose with a touch of bananas; creamy MF, medium bodied, moderate sweet-sourish flavour; soft sourish-fruity finish. Well rounded, very pleasant Weizen.........

(bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a big and minimal off-white foamy head. Slightly yeasty, moderately sweet wheat-malty aroma with distinctive notes of overripe citrus, a touch of cara-malt and spicy phenols in the background. Sourish fruity taste with a light malty sweetness; moderately dry and sour-fruity, also a bit slim finish. Interesting Hefeweizen, although it is a bit slim (10.06.08).

500ml bottle - Pours hazy light copper with a two finger white head. The aroma is of wheat malt, bananas, and yeast. The flavor is of light, crisp malts with a good balance of mild hops that come through in a fairly dry finish. It’s refreshing but struck me as a touch watery. I had it right after mowing the lawn and it was nice, but slightly higher rated on the hefeweizen scale than I expected (RB says 95th percentile for the style) given that to me it doesn’t really stand out.
