Apple definitely. Roast and caramel. Chocolate. Plenty of booze. Some syrup. Bittersweet finish. Bottle.

50cl bottle from Congdon’s, pours an oily, viscous black with a ring of beige head. Nose has cocoa and malt and donut, molasses and black licorice, there’s some cake icing or stewed fruit, but its muddled. Flavor is sweet, malty, sugary, donut and apple jam, cocoa. Finishes sweet and full bodied.

Pours nearly black over brown, tanned head. Smell is rather weak, roasty, no real apples here. Taste is sharp, roasty, apples are hidden - if any - , some chocolate, almost tonka-like to me. Full body, lower carbo.
