Helles, is the German word for ‘light’ which refers to the color of the beer alone, it is not light in flavor! The ingredients of this beer are simple, we use the highest quality malt, water, hops and yeast to create a clean drinking but full of flavor lager beer that you’ll want to have a liter of or two.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a slightly hazy light yellow color with a large, bright white head and great retention. Less lacing than I expected . Standard pale malt aroma. Pretty standard pale malt flavor too, with a little diacetyl in the finish. Not quite as bready as a German Helles. Smooth, clean, and easy drinking. Medium-light body. Medium-high carbonation. Low bitterness. A nice anytime beer.

Half liter @the source. Clear, boring gold, soft head. Yeasty, grainy, generic nose. Taste is bittersweet. Rounded upfront, slightly buttery, significant acid, ground pepper, very light floral & citrus. Finish is very much like white bread. Overcarbed possibly. Super low profile abc. A little oily before the parching finish. Okay.
