Die Mischung macht´s: Drei verschiedene Malze und zwei Hopfensorten aus der Region kommen zum Einsatz. Spezielle, länger „gedarrte“ Malze sorgen für die rote, dunkle Farbe. Beim Darren wird das Malz nach dem Keimprozess bei hohen Temperaturen getrocknet. Je höher die Temperatur, desto dunkler wird das Malz. Schanzenbräu Rotbier ist untergärig, unfiltriert, vollmundig und gut gehopft.

7 3 7 3 15 Draft at In de Wildeman. Clear amber with an off white head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, bready notes and hops. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Many thanks for this beer to Mariusz. Piwo w stylu wiedenskim, ciemno-pomaranczowa barwa z jasna czerwienia w tle. Piwo ma spora i bardzo trwala piane. W smaku jak holenderskie wafle posypane zrumieniona bulka tarta, do tego pewna lecioutenka, naprawde leciutenka kwaskowosc, co odbija od profilu slodowego. Bardzo ciekawe, a w tym stylu niemal genialne.

Hazy amber-orange color with beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, nutty, earthy. Taste is malty, bitter caramel, earthy, a bit buttery, strawberry. Bitter finish. Medium carbonation. Nice Rotbier.

Bottle at Cafe Wanderer Nuremberg. Red brown russet colour beer . Bready aroma. Some toast. Some sweetness some strawberry jam. Decent enough Sweet malty beer but with some hop.

Draft @ Hütt’n, Nürnberg. Pours a slightly hazy reddish copper color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

Tap at Huett’n. Cloudy red-orange-amber color with a fine low head. Biscuity malt nose, caramel, chocolate. Malty, earthy flavor, full and very suffig. Excellent.

I only seem to have limited notes on this one, unfortunately. Which basically equates to a score and the fact that this is an alright beer. I'll add more next time if/when I try this one again.
