Zenit is a pale 11 plato Czech Lager (Světlý Ležák) inspired by smaller Moravian breweries in the East of the Czech Republic that carry on the pristine Czech brewing tradition with a little more independence and rustic charm. Brewed with floor-malted Bohemian Pilsner malt and a dash of Munich malt - hopped with choice Saaz and Hallertau Mittelfrüh. Layers of straw and cereal malt goodness are matched by a spicy and lively floral hop snap and a clean, citrus peel bitterness.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to lager glass.
Appearance: semi-murky yellow-ish cardboard coloring with a two and a half fingers of white fluffy head which dissipated nicely and left some light lace
Aroma: wet grains, subtle floral hop tones; mild biscuity malts
Flavor: blends the aromas fairly nice to a malty crisp semi-sweetness; decent little aftertaste of grains, floral hops and malts
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; nice enough smoothness along the tongue; finishes fairly smooth with a touch of dryness and toastiness
Overall: as far as I know, it works as a pilsner, and a Czech one, sure why not. And for me, I'd return to this.

From Good Times Oakland, canned/best by P1261?
Pours a clear ish pale gold with a huge head of foam, retention is great, lacing looks excellent as well.
The smell is noble hops, citrus, some grain, spicy aromas from the hops.
The taste is spicy, noble hops, toasted and grain malt, light with the latter, has a freshness to it that impresses me greatly.
Lovely mouthfeel, I would certainly drink this again. It's top notch.
