Somerland Gold is another regular medal winner. If you like your beers golden, hoppy and refreshing then this is for you, but be careful - it goes down quickly for 5%. Pale and Wheat malts are jostling for your attention with Challenger and Northern Brewer hops. At this strength our English yeast leaves hints of honey.

Draft. An unclear golden beer with a wiff of white head. The aroma has notes of druit and malt, as well as a touch of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, over ripe fruits, oranges and peaches, leading to a quite bitter finish.

Cask, handpump at FFTMC, Oxofrd, 26-05-08 Pous light gold in colour with a thin white head and the merest hint of a haze showing.Good citrusy nose, nice hops. Juicy tangerines and also some old fashioned marmalade in the mouth, finishes dry and bitter on the roof of the mouth, this is good stuff.

Cask-conditioned at the Inn on the Green, Bristol 5/9/07. Bright gold colour with a moderate white head. Aroma of hay and grassy hops. Flavour began with some sweet malt before a hoppy finish. Not bad.
