Barrel Aged fruity Sour Ale. Historical blend of a rustical saison of which half is aged 6 months in oak barrels which contained wine. Remarkably komplex, dinstinguished through the wild yeasts’ actions. Refreshring, well-balanced between sour and bitter notes, as well as an intensiv fruitiness. The ideal and surprising compromise between wide aromtatic complexity and a refreshing easy drinking beer.

0.33 l bottle from ’Etre Gourmet’, best before July 2018. Slow gusher. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, sourish, quite funky, fruity and slightly floral aroma of lemon, gooseberry, oak, barnyard and some vinegar. Slightly sweetish, quite sour, funky, fruity and slightly floral taste of lemon, rhubarb, gooseberry, oak, some hay and quite a bit of vinegar, followed by a medium long, rather tart, slightly woody-dry and a bit grassy finish. Medium body, quite astringent and rather effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite complex, intense and refreshing, a bit too much vinegar maybe, but overall a really tasty beer!

75cl bottle shared at home. Slight hazy golden with big white head that leaves a small ring of bubbles. White grapes, champagne, light yoghurt, gooseberries, apricot, light grass and herbs. There’s light toffee and fudge, raw grains, soft funk too. It’s quite complex with malts, grapes and weird lactic notes being the predominant aromas. Medium sour and sweet. Medium bodied with good amount of slightly fizzy carbonation. Good.
