Barrel Aged fruity Sour Ale. Historical blend of a rustical saison of which half is aged 6 months in oak barrels which contained wine. Remarkably komplex, dinstinguished through the wild yeasts’ actions. Refreshring, well-balanced between sour and bitter notes, as well as an intensiv fruitiness. The ideal and surprising compromise between wide aromtatic complexity and a refreshing easy drinking beer.

Pours a slightly hazy light amber from a bottle. Very bretty aroma, white balsamic vinegar. Apricots in the mouth, a little medicinal, very oaky. As it warms it becomes very bitter. Good beer.

Tap. Moeder Lambic Original. Very hazy orangeade colour. Thin, dense, lasting, white head. Nose has fruity, funky yeast. Wine barrel oak. Some white grape. Notes of lemon and lime zest. Taste is light bitter, with some zesty tartness. Nicely tempered by a little sweet oak. Crisp, zingy mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Zesty, bordering on tart finish. Very nice.

Bottle from Bottle Baron. Hazy golden body with a thick off-white head. Lively carbonation. Excellent lacing. Aroma of funky yeast, coriander, salted lemon and parsley. Flavour of white grape, lime zest, oak, bread and a sour lemon finish. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. This was drank out of an Orval goblet, and it reminded me of Orval itself (always a good thing). An excellent Saison.
