Überraschend stark karamelliger Antrunk. Dabei nur wenig süß, angenehme milde Herbe. Durch die Konzentration auf das Malz kommen nussige Aromen angenehm hervor, leicht steigende Würzigkeit. Nussig bitterer Nachhall, weich. Gut! 12/11/12/11//11

Rated from old notes. Medium to light-bodied, hints of malts, but not a lot going on here. Slightly sour taste that gradually sweetens. When done I belched and felt like I had just drunk a Pepsi. Not necessarily a good thing in a beer.

Draught @ random brauhaus in Berlin @ The Berlin Maraton. [ As Isenbeck Dark or Dunkel ]. Clear medium red brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roaasted, caramel, brown sugar, sweet malt, bread notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090920]

Bottled, Argentinian version (4.6%) Dark nut brown, fairly rich head. Papery aroma. Sweet and rather mellow with light body. Flavours detected are of paper mash combined with butterscotch and spun sugar. No bitterness. Simplictic anf joyless, but at least decently drinkable.

Draught. Malty, dusty aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Small unstable grey head. Roasted, dusty, slightly watery flavour. Thin mouthfeel. Hint of brown sugar in the aftertaste. A bit disappointing.
