Beer No. 60 on my tour through Austria, Germany and Denmark.
Draught at Marcus-Bräu, Berlin as Bärenquell Original Pilsener. Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, few streams of carbonation, mild grainy nose. Malty, grainy and light herbal with moderate bitter finish. Simple and drinkable.

06/03 Draught at the Marcus-Brau. It poured clear golden body with small, but persistent head. Some light dry herbal hops in aroma. Bitter, dry flavor as well, although not much in it, just light typical German pils "cardboard" herbal hops. Little bit of biscuit malt as well, showing up more in its short finish along with that dry cardboard. A little bit too industrial, quite boring pils, especially as we got spoiled by local Marzens!

Draught at Marcus-Bräu. Poured a clear golden body with a small white head that went away slowly. Almost no nose, some light grain. Empty taste, odd dustiness, obviously drinkable as it’s so light, but it’s hard to say much good about it.

Draught @ Marcus-Bräu, Münzstraße 1-3, 10178 Berlin, Germany.Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, light grain and toasted, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. A bit borring but okay .. [20090919]

bottle. Golden yellow, large head. Hoppy aroma. Solid malty base with intensive hops which gives the beer a bitter-sweet character that reminds me of a Bohemian Pilsener. Quite nice.
