300ml, bier vom Fass at the lovely Biergarten at Schwerter Schankhaus. A covering beige head to a deep, dark brown coloured body. Spotty lacing. Roasted dark malty smell. Roasted flavour profile, hints of dark dough and liquorice. Rounded dark malty ending. Medium bodied. Pleasant enough (Meissen 04.07.2016).

50 cl bottle @ Timo A. Rated on 16.11.2010
Dark brown appearance, small‐bubbled and disappearing head. Aroma is quite dunkel‐like with sweet malt, chocolate and cocoa. Flavour has vegetables typical to Danish ales, malt and hints of solvent. Decent

Harmonisch herb-süßer Röstantrunk. Die Röstigkeit steigert sich, die Süße unterstützt angenehm. Zum Ende etwas zu schnell abflachend, passende Hopfigkeit und dahinter stehende Bitterkeit. Volles Dunkles. 11/12/12/10/10/12 8

(bottle) Clear, ruby brown colour with a loose and slightly tanned foamy head. Slightly sweet roast-malty aroma with caramel, bready notes, leafy accents and shades of herbal hops. Moderately sweet and roasty bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a medium carbonation. Roasty malty base with distinctively bready notes, as well as caramel, liquorice and a tinge of mocha; dry bitter-sweet, also quite lasting finish. A pleasant brew, more a Schwarzbier than a Dunkel. 21.VIII.10
