Birra complessa, etilica, evoluta.

Bottle at Churchkey. Murky light brown, five huge bubbles, no lacing. Aroma of citrus and clay. Flavor starts and ends sour, interesting bits of wood and earth. Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is has a lot of brett character combined with notes of malt, caramel and wood. The flavor is sweet malty with lighter notes of brettanomyces and wood, leading to a dry and slightly tart finish. Nice. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Thanks to goldtwins for sharing - very cloudy, peach-colored beer, with a foamy head - aroma of oak, cherry, light earthy funk, mild spice, a bit of fruit skin tannins - full but soft carbonation - mellow vanilla and oak, some red wine character, warming spices and alcohol - some herbal bitterness on the back - the barrel is really well-integrated, and never overpowering - very nice.

Interesting. Just last week I had Mikkeller Its Alive, and as unique as it was, this one is alot like it! Started with a buggy wild yeasty doughy funky nose, traces of grassy hops. Flavor was not very tart but had some lean malt, a mild vinous character with touches of barrel, but then a big grassy/spicy hop finish. Finish was long and bitter. Like the Mikkeller beer, it reminds of Orval on steroids. This one had just a touch less funk. Deep red-copper color, bubbly large head.

Bottle, 8.5%. Vinous aroma, good lambik notes. Hazy red brown colour. Small white head. Sweet flavour, good vanilla notes. The flavour has a very good combination of oak, vanilla and acid. Horrible with an anchovy pizza, but I knew that before I ordered it. After finishing the pizza it becomes clear that this is a good and well-balanced beer. Citric and sweet with oaky notes in just the right combination. 7 3 8 4 16
Bottle, 8.5%. Good citric aroma, with some raisin. Cloudy red orange colour. The flavour is quite citric, good raisin flavour. Some oak barrel flavour, not so much vanilla as just wood. High carbonation. 8 3 8 3 19

(Bottle 37,5 cl.) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy amber golden with a creamy off-white head. Tart, Brettish aroma. Quite full-bodied with a somewhat low carbonation, extremely sweet fruit and a strange acidity. This beer points in many different directions, but I actually find it quite interesting - but harmonious? No! I take it that the Bretty aroma was intended. 200608
