Birra complessa, etilica, evoluta.

Bottle thanks to Sarah! Pours a hazy orange amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a decent amount of tart fruits and dry red wine with a hint of sweetness underlying. Flavor has an interesting combination of dark wine, tart fruits, sweet grains and a bit of an oak note.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks troubles. 2009 bottle. Hazy golden. Sour aroma with wood, vinegar, wine, fruitiness. Sweetish flavor with wood, a bit of vinegar, soap, sourish note, fruitiness, eucalyptus, weird bitterness, alcohol. Weird. Not pleasant.

Tap at spuyten. Pours odd murky orange with no head. Nose is red wine vinegar. Tastes of red wine and red wine vinegar, some sour fruits, wood, some breadiness, and perfume. Kinda odd beer but worthy having.

Corpo medio-pieno, carbonazione media. Gran bella birra, complimenti a Riccardo!

Bottle from Beer Revolution. Pours hazy orange with a slight head. Aroma is rich and sour. Med body. Flavor is sour. But like a mix of peach and oak. I’m not getting much wine here. But it is very astringent. This is fairly complex. Delicious.

Cloudy orange brown beer. Frothy white head. Dry frothy palate. Sourish malt with a trace of water chesnuts. A little oakiness but nothing sweet. Some mild aniseed and spice in the finish. Warming afterglow.

Bottle. Muddy brown pour with large yeast chunks and no head to speak of. Aroma of redwine, port, butterscotch, plums, lemon, sugar cookies, light spices, cherry, red currant, berries and a few other fruits I cannot exactly place. Flavors of strawberry, bitter, super vinous, earth, vinegar, tobacco, wood. Oddly slick/oily mouthfeel that I find unpleasant. No carbonation. Different beer for sure. Long duration. Have very mixed feelings about this beer.
