Bottled. A hazy red-brown beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and bread, leading to a bitter finish.

1l-bottle from Getränke Hausler, Schwandorf. Hazy dark brown colour, large beige head. Malty nose with hints of roasted malts. Fill-bodied, malty with lovely flavours of roasetd malt, chocolate and caramel. Well rounded with some very good aromatic hops. Lovely chcolota flavour also in the finish. A heavenly brew!

(33cl bottle, as Premium Dunkel) Hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a short, light-beige foamy layer. Dusty, slightly sweet nose with a distinctive touch of burnt barley and lactic notes. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly yeasty, toast-malty taste; also slightly burnt with light notes of caramel and cacao; dry-ish, bitter-sweet finish (28.11.07).

Bottle (333ml, thank You, joss !) Slightly hazy, brownish amber coloured, smaller off-white layer, quite dry malty, a bit roasted malty nose; light to medium bodied, moderate bitter-sweet flavour, burnt malt and milk-coffee in the dryish finish. Not very well balanced stuff...........

Trendy frosted white bottle. Fairly roasted caramel light salted peanut aroma. Red chestnut, golden layer. Big roast and chocolate initially, much more than usually so in a german dunkel. Mellows to a medium chewy sweet body with a herbal light spicy finish. Mellow mouthfeel. Quick roasted aftertaste. Interresting.

Leicht malzig und kaffeartig im Mittelteil, gut ausgeglichen. Der Nachgeschmack hält durchschnittlich lange und geht, wie das Bier im Ganzen, in Ordnung. Test vom 2.4.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,8,7,6,12,6 - 7,05
