Bottle picked up from the Brewery/Gasthof, yesterday and consumed at home Sunday 1st November 2020 listening to Rival Consoles - Howl and having cooked (still cooking) Belgian Beef Carbonnade. Pours clear chestnut in colour, super clarity with a huge billowing off white head. Nutty on the nose and a little nutty in the mouth, soft mouthfeel, light fruity and caramel. Good and better than the Doppelbock.

Bottle from bier-kaufen.de. Dark brown colour, creamy white foam. Nose of light roasted malts, dried fruit, breadcrust, toast. Taste is light caramel, dry, bready. Not a bad dunkel.

Fra flaske på ølsmagning "Bayern vs. Berlin" (DØE København Nord) sep-17: brunlig rav med ok skum. Mørke karameller, ristet brød og diskrete kryddertoner, mild bitterhet, slank og lettdrikkelig. Balansert. Halvtørr avslutning med karamell og krydder.

Dark ruby with little beige head. Aroma is chestnut, roast, walnuts, burnt caramel Taste is some wet hop with roast bitterness and slight syrupy sweetness. Only shallow with thin body and not so smooth, so "meh" despite doing nothing actually wrong.

500ml bottle [Thanks Maddie!]. Clear, faint, chestnut colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Grainy, dark malty aroma with hints of milk chocolate and a touch of silage. Taste is slightly sweet dark malty, hints of malt lozenge, a touch of treacle, milk chocolate, mildly bitter hoppy counterweight.

Clear chestnut brown colour, tall frothy beige head, half-way lasting, average lacing. Aroma roasted malts, caramel, light coffee, dark fruit notes. Taste light light heavy sweet and medium bitter, malty, toffee, light nutty notes. Mild sweetbitter finish, roasty notes and finally a wee bit sourishness, medium body, light creamy texture, soft carbonation. Delicate dunkel, very nice.
