Bottle shared at the Cafe Abseits tasting during the Post Christmas Bamberg Jolly - January 2014. Pours unclear amber with a foamy, off-white head. Not bad overall. Lightly tangy. Some bready malts, spices, dry pumpkin. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Further autumnal spices in the finish. Fine.

(draught at Café Abseits, Bamberg) Hazy, amber to copper colour with a mid-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly veggie (pumpkin) malty aroma with distinctively spicy notes of muscat, cinnamon and pepper, accompanied by citric and delicately exotic fruity hoppy notes. Mildly sweet and bitter flavour, rather slim bodied with a soft carbonation. Slim malty base, again with delicately veggie notes; moderately dry and slim, slightly bitter and fruity hoppy finish with well-integrated spicy notes. Not really a stunner but pleasant to drink. 25.I.14

Herb-süßer Antrunk, in dem die Kürbisnote nicht übermäßig stark ist, sie ist aber erkennbar und lenkt das Bier. Herber werdend, der Kürbis verhält sich bedeckt. Trinkbar.

Hazy orangey-brown with a white head. The aroma is malt-accented with light pumpkin and vague spice. This has an especially gourdy character - no real spice to it. The body is ok but the malt character is somewhat thin. Gourdy finish. Unique - pumpkin ale with no spice, but it’s not terribly effective for me.

Bottled (thanks Oakes & Sunshine!). Hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma is pumpkin, malts and some hops. Flavour is sweet pumpkin, some hops and quite big on the maltyness as well. Mildly vegetably notes as well. Nice pumpkin beer, as the pumpkin flavour is real and not artificial.
