This robust higher gravity sweet stout delivers into the furthest inlets of your taste buds. It’s brewed in the tradition of foreign export stouts that were often shipped to tropical destinations like the Caribbean. Full bodied and hiding its warmth behind a layer of roasted and toasted malt sweetness, this stout is a vacation by the pint full.

From nitro tap at the brewpub. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Roasted dark malty, liqourice and dark breadish. Dark breadish malty, ague liqourice. Chocolate and rye bread. Dry and malty finish.

Sampled at the brewpub. Pours an oily, opaque black with some creamy beige head. Nose is right on the money, sickly sweet, licorice, malty, burnt sugar, nuts, caramel. Flavor is similar, heavy sugar, heavy licorice, coffe liqueur, brown sugar, soy, syrupy. Full bodied, sweet finish. I thought this was perfect. They aimed for something and nailed it. Not my favorite style, but they accomplished what they set out for.
