Can from Systembolaget. Light hopped aroma. Dark brown. Nice mature flavour, balances deep caramel, with hint of coffee, and hops. Not my favourite type of beer, but weirdly one that gets better when you focus on it.

Clear reddish brown beer, small creamy beige head, a little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: nice, dried fruits, lots of caramel, malty, grains, cow fodder. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty, lots of caramel, malty, grains, cow fodder. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty, lots of caramel, soft roast, slightly bitter, grains, more malts. Aftertaste: soft roast, some dried fruits, a little sweet, raisins, some chocolate, cocoa powder, good bitterness, soft acidity, hoppy touch, good one!

All the high abv beers from Pohjala are among my absolute favourites, but I often think their regular abv beers are a bit more mediocre. This one instead surprised me greatly! I was expecting a less dark rye beer, instead I encountered almost a little brother of the Rukkivein/Rudolf. A malty, nicely balanced ale with lots of rye, some chocolate and caramel, and nice touch of hops in the back. A keeper!

Thanks to Sladkyna zla for this one. Pretty good, easy drinking. Kvas-style flavour and body, rye nicely showing. Chocolate too, rich enough. Good one.
