Bottle, 5.5%. Mild roasted aroma, hint of fart. Clear brown colour. Nice stable tan head. The flavour is mildly roasted, has a little bready and vinous touch like a well-lagered beer. But not old-tasting. Medium bitterness, showing itself in the late finish.

Bottle (in der Brauerei gekauft): Amber coloured,medium-sized, fluffy off-white head; aroma like a diluted Doppelbock: raisins, toasted/roasted malt and distinctive hops; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; becomes a bit drier towards the nutty, toasted and hoppy finish. Very solid franconian quality.............

(bottle) Clear, chestnut colour with a loose, slightly beige foamy head. Moderately sweet and roasty cara-malt aroma, slightly nutty with notes of toffee and light herbal hoppy accents. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a smooth and pleasant carbonation. Toast-malty, slightly nutty taste with caramel and a bit burnt sugar; dry-out effect towards the moderately bitter and toast-malty finish. Pleasant Franconian Lager (28.04.08).
