Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich roasted, dark malts, licorice, coffee, hay, chocolate, burnt caramel, roasted grain. Taste is slightly dry roasted, dark malts, coffee, licorice, roasted grain, burnt caramel, chocolate. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Very nice.

Draught @ brewpub. Opaque dark brown to black color, medium sized tan head. Smell and taste malts, dark malts, a bit earthy, a hint of dark fruits, soft bitterness. Average yo medium body, a bit fizzy carbonation. Decent.

Röstiger, leicht süßer Antrunk. Weich, die Röstnoten nehmen mit der Zeit ab. Das Bier bleibt aber immer angenehm malzig, wenig herb, süffig. Trocken malziges Finish. 11/11/10/9//9

Draught at the brewpub. Pours hazy very dark brown with unstable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel. Malty taste with a distinct note of roasted nuts and coffee. Yeasty finish. Good. Really good.

[10/1/11] Mahleket Hanikot Shotrim ’11 tour. Draught at the brewpub in Flensburg. Very dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of some roastiness and slightly milky coffee. Sweetish flavor with light roastiness, a bit of malt and a slightly drier finish. Light to medium-bodied. Quite easy-drinking.

2 liter bottle thanks to Lea! (non-ratebeer)On August 30, 2009Dark reddish brown to black color, tan fluffy head. Sweet, caramel, butterscotch, candy scent. Sweet, caramel, hoppy, rosated taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Roasted and caramel aftertaste. Very nice one.

Draught @ Hansens Brauerei, Schiffbrücke 16, 24939 Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.Clear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, light salty. Both aroma and flaver is very oyster stout alike. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20090626]
