Tap at brewpub: Black with a creamy brown head on top. Aroma is roasted - coffee & caramel. Some straw & grain. Medium body. Dry & sweet! OK RERATING 30 DEC 09. Caramel, coffee and liquorice and a bit of butter. Smooth and tasty. 2,9 - 3,1

On tap at the brewery. Black with a lasting tan head. Weak aroma of caramel and roast malt. Dry and roast flavour with a hint of charcoal in the roast finish. I liked that.

Growler, thanks to yespr. A deep red beer with a thick brown head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is sweet malty with quite strong notes of caramel and straw, and a light roasted note, leading to a dry end.

(On tap) Dark brown with a creamy, off-white and collapsing head. Dry, malty body and a solid carbonation. Nice all right when fresh off the tap, but certainly no great beer. 260602

Draught at the brewpub / restaurant. Black (= very dark brown) colour, good creamy head. Moderate roasty aroma with notes of chocolate and liquorice. Very moderate flavour with roastiness and some caramel, minimal hops. Moderate rye bread aftertaste. Iām not that impressed.

Draught. Aroma has some caramel, a bit of coffee. Very dark brown colour, small head. Nicely roasted malt flavour, fresh ground coffee. The coffee lingers for a long time in the aftertaste. Quite tasty and full-flavoured for a Schwarzbier.

Completely black with a creamy head, which unfortunately dwindles too fast. Yeasty some roasted fruit. Fizzy mouthfeel which also gives it a less impressive body. Fresh and nice though.
