2011 version, Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza, 6.4%

Draught@Glenfiddich Warehouse 68, Stockholm. Opaque black color, nice cloudy brown head, lace. Cold coffee and ash aroma. A bit sweetie coffeish flavor. Suprisingly watery palate for 6% stout. Coffee is not dominating - less coffeish than name indicates - it more present in the aftertaste. I expected more from N.O..

Bottle from Systembolaget. Black with a light tan head. The aroma consists of malts, coffe and some sourness. The flavor is quite ordinary stout but finishes off in a clear coffe taste. Medium bodied, very smooth and well balanced!

33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a redish golden glare and diminished tan head. Smooth chocolate aroma with a nice and light coffeeish note. Mild herbal coffeeish flavoured with a light bitterness showing through. Somewhat powderish chocolate flavoured too. Light body and mouthfeel. Smooth coffeish finish with a slowly growing bitterness.

(On tap) Pours a very dark, almost black with a tint of red and a creamy, light brown head. Quite full-bodied with hard roasted malt, lightly sweet vanilla and coffee accents and a fairly malt bitter finish. 180908

First rating(Draught at The Rover, Göteborg)On October 7, 2008Clear deep dark red color, creamy brown head. Slight roasted and coffee taste. Smooth yet spritzy mouthfeel. Roasted and coffee aftertaste. Dry malty and slight roasted scent. A tad bit fruity as well. Medium dry bitterness. Rather nice, but I’d like more of a coffee character.7/5/7/3/15=3.7Rerate(Draught at Bishops Arms Järntorget, Göteborg)On October 19, 2008 - PorterfestivalenBlack color, brown head. Sweet grainy scent. Sweet roasted grainy taste. Raosted aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel, low to medium bitterness. Could not find a hint of coffee anywhere, nor could the rest of the crew with me. Not the same type at all I tried earlier at The Rover!6/4/7/4/14=3.5
