Hazy red - brown beer. Zero head. Zero carbonation. Even malt, whisper of marmite. Tiny bit salty. Trace of fruit. A pretty uninteresting one dimensional beer but it least it manages to hide the 10.0% well.

Hazy reddish brown almost without head. Aroma is very sweet malty, caramel and alcohol. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. Strange name for a beer that is by no means particularly hoppy. 190711

bottle, bbf 2012 so in good shape. Opened so that Gitte wouldn’t drink all my 3fonteinen straffe winter. clear dark amber / brown, very small large bubbly head. sweet malty aroma, also significant amounts of sweet flowery hops, some sugary notes, some wood, good us style barley wine aroma. grauballe probably worked so hard puting hops and other stuff into the beer they forgot how to spell chock. They did remember to advice serving temp, with 14 to 18 celcius. I agree this is a great temp.for this (kind of) beer. Flavor is sweet caramelly, wood, sweet malts, sweet flowery notes, faint bitterhoppy notes. palate is a bit thin and carbonation is real flat, but for this kind of beer it sort of works out fine.
