Bottle, at What’s Brewing. As Honey Oakwine. A hazy, flat, pale amber colored mead blend with lots of honey in the aroma. A vinous, light oxidation and some meatyness as well as a flowery touch show up as well. The flavor is on the sweet side, with honey, oxidation and flowers. It’s full-bodied and lightly warming, rather vinous in the lasting finish. A true beauty, pity they didn’t bring more of this to the festival. 141031

Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2009
Cloudy blond color. Strange aroma, medicinal, possibly flowery. Good body, quite sweet, yes, honey flavor; quite plain but enjoyable, surely better than the Two Brothers Braggot I had a few days ago. The final too is sweet, honeish and flowery.

On tap. Pours a very cloudy and opaque yellow with a white head. Intense yeast aroma. Quite full-bodied, very, very sweet, but strangely enough it doesn’t really feel like a honey sweetness. Notes of sweet fruit as well. Absolutely no bitterness. 160509
