Bottle. I think from Beavertown, during some event thing. Pours a ginger orange. Not a good sign. Fine white head. Nose has vinous oak. Still some gooseberry evident. Stinky lemon brett. Taste is tart and a little dry. Some sweetness on the lips (from a bit of oxidation?). Light to medium body. Drinks well under the ABV. Fine carbonation. Tart and dry musky fruit to finish. Nice to finally try, but I’ve probably left it sat too long.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at the brewery a long time ago. Pours lightly unclear amber with a creamy, off-white head. Really good stuff, rich, with lots of tart citrus cut through with woody dryness, mellow funk, moderate acidity. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more woody dryness, light toasted sugars, more tart berries, touches of white pepper, lemony acidity. Good depth. Solid overall.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey golden colour with small, bubbly, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Vinous, fruity, mildly bretty aroma, hints of apple, pear, wood, nutmeg, vanilla. Taste is dry, monothematic, one-dimensional sour, hints of vinegar and lemon juice, sour apple juice, sour gooseberry. Quite sour and astringent. Furthermore, tasting the first sip destroys the subtleties in the nose - they are not reproducible.

Keg at Ratebeer Best Beer Festival. 31/01/2016. A murky orange coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is sour and tangy, spicy vinegar notes, apricot, peach and green apple. Flavour is composed of jammy apricot and raspberrry, sour green apple and orange rind. Hint of wood in the finish. Palate is crisp, semi sweet, tangy finish. Ok.
