(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Stockholm, 6 Sep 2008) Very dark brown colour with ruby hints, frothy beige head. Roasted, malty nose with tobacco, coffee, dark fruit and dark rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, dark rye bread, cocoa and a decent cocoa bitterness i a dry finish. Smooth mouthfeel, rather thin body. Nice beer.

Bottle from the Dogi’ Deli, Cowley Road, had this 24-03-08 Soft roasted notes of coffee and a gentle milky chocolateyness waft forth from this. Pours very dark brown with ruby glints and a lovely creamy head. Tasy and very decent porter quite subtle at times but the chocolate and coffee in the nose are here again in the mouth, nice smoothness to this, once again another good beer from Wagtail.
