Cask@Market Porter, London. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral and mildly toasted notes. Flavour is quite the same along with grassy and nectary notes, ending in a rather grassy and bitter way.

(Cask at Smithfield Hotel, Manchester, 25 July 2009) Golden colour with creamy, white head. Fruity nose with citrus, toffee and a touch of grass. Fruity taste with notes of citrus and grass. Rather light body, mainly dry. Moderate bitterness. Hardly exciting but decent.

Aroma is moderate malty, caramel apple, tobacco. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090718] 5-3-6-3-12 Cask (handpump) @ Market Porter, 9 Stoney Street, Southwark, London, Greater London, England SE1 9AA.Clear medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, malt sour, light hoppy. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, malt acrid. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. From cellar run @ Smithfields Hotel Manchester. Pear and honey in the aroma and flavor. Malty sweet. No specific hop flavors, but a pleasant beer.

RBESG Sheffield 2009, day 3, Smithfields Hotel, Manchester. Cask, cellar run. Clear golden colour, no head. Aroma of citrus, cooked vegetables, flavour is the same, light bitter finish. Yuck, worst beer so far on this trip..
