Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, roasted, caramel, smoke - peat. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. RBESG Sheffield 2009. Handpump at The Star Inn Summer Beer Festival, Huddersfield. Dark brown to black colour, light beige head. Aroma is salty, oak, smoke like campfire, prunes and a bit of booze. Flavour is prunes, bit of booze, smoke and tar in the coffee bitter finish. Light to medium bodied.

Cask handpull at The Star Inn, Huddersfield. Dark brown lasting deep beige head. Cream and smoky dark beer not a lot of dark malts, but good smoke character. Ok.
