A classic copper coloured bitter, the sweetness of the malt perfectly balanced with the bitterness of the hops, crafted from a range of choicest English malted barleys including Maris Otter, Tipple and Crystal malts. Spicy British hops complement the malty, caramel flavours and fruity American hops add a refreshing bitter sweet palate.

Cask at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Pours clear gold with a light, creamy head. Bready malt nose, some ripening fruits. Light sweet flavor, some simple bread, light berries. Light bodied with fine carbonation. More basic bready malts in the finish, mild bitter leaves, dried berries, straw, grains. Very elementary but highly sessionable stuff.

500ml bottle - Dark gold with a small head. Aromas are dusty with apples and citrus. The hops are noticeable with a light biscuit in there too. Flavours are biscuit malts with lightly sour citrus and a dry finish. Not much going on. Nothing to make me feel any pride.
