Bottled. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized creamy quite thick white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, some mild herbal tones with mild spiciness and earth. Flavour is fruity, some grapefruit, mild nectar, some funk and a wee bit yeasty spiciness too. Quite a nicely balanced IPA meets Saison thingy.

Bottle from Beer Planet. Clear amber colour with creamy golden bubbly head. Aroma is hoppy bitterness, resinous, bit of cat pee, slight spiciness, and a bit of citrus. Taste is spicy again, initially lots of malt, slight hoppy bitterness, bit of orange. Very easy drinking. Definitely can see the US influence. Lot more malty than usual De La Senne stuff. Very nice though. --- Beer merged from original tick of Schieven IPA on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8. Bottle at beerloversbar. Apparently another beer I lost the Original rating from, so re-rating as my first rating here. Pours rather unclear blonde. Good white head. Smell is unusually yeasty for a DLS . So is the taste. Some hops, sure, medium bitterness, yes, but damn, there's esthers in here - more than the average DLS, and in a style I do not quite enjoy them...

330 ml bottle from Etre Gourmet, bottled 30 Mar 17.
Amber, hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of grapefruit, berries, peach, orange, grass, some herbs, some spices, biscuit.
Tastes quite similar, with some more pine.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, piney, zesty, spicy, a bit herbal, subtly sweet, slightly warming.

Solid IPA, but I was expecting a bit more. Doesn’t have that much of the character, I love this brewery’s stuff for, quite typical (Belgian) IPA like many others. Maybe my bottle is too old, but then many hoppy De la Sennes I’ve had were still great with half a year age. Still nicely drinkable, nothing wrong about this.
