Bottle from Darlington railway station. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - soft malt notes with a light fudge thing too. Taste - integrated fudge and malt with a light spice note, making me think Saaz probably. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - it’s solid but unexciting.

500ml bottle from the Head of Steam Darlington Railway Museum shop. Pours a golden colour, foamy white head that dissipates away and aroma of malt & grain with metallic notes. Taste is sweet malt, grain, some fruitiness, grassy and a spicy hop bitterness. Light bodied, well carbonated, dry finish. Quite OK.

Bottle, shared by Papsoe. It pours an almostclear, yellow-golden body under a small, white head. Grainy and sweetish nose, a bit low on hops, and rather boring. The flavor is on the sweet side, grainy and with a nice, resiny hoppy bitterness. Medium body, and a bitter finish. A nicely hopped beer, but it sort of lacks something. (090514)
