Black Orchard is an unfiltered, bottle conditioned Belgian-style black wheat beer. This dark but surprisingly light bodied beer is very drinkable while still having character and complexity. Chamomile is added for its floral aroma, while the coriander and citrus peel give the characteristics of a traditional witbier.

Bottle thanks to BavarianPurity. Pours a very hazy very dark brown with a slight red hue. Aroma has notes of citrus, dark tart fruits and coriander. Flavor has a strong stale coffee note with underlying dark fruits and coriander.

Bottle. Huge head with short duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are yeast, fruits, malt and citrus. Quite fizzy and a little disappointing. Even after two glasses poured foam kept coming out of bottle, this one might be off.

Dark brown-ruby color, steady medium-sized creamy beige head. Clove spicey, cellary aroma. Smooth palate with foamy carbonation. Chocolaty malty, clove spicey, slightly cellary flavor with some caramel malts. Balanced, kind of refreshing beer. Style? No idea!

750ml pours a watery opaque black with a creamy, white head. Aroma of wet wheat, light spice. Flavor if vinous fruits, light grass light yeast. Slightly watery finish. Not a whole lot going on here, could have been tighter.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark brown colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter slightly acetic flavor. Average finish. Creamy palate. Very strange belgian ale. Closer to a double but lacking ABV.

A black brown ale with a super thick moka head. In aroma, pungeant herbs with light chocolate and soy notes. In mouth, a nice silky chocolate with smooth coriander, light vanilla and funky notes, nutty, light woody maple. Rich and complex. Bieropholie import. Tasted Jan. 30 2010.

Bottled@Beer Hunters, Pori. Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruits, wheat, mild roasted notes as well as some herbs and grass. Flavour is slightly acidic wheat along with some mild bready and roasted notes as well.
