Pale and refreshingly tart. Telegraph Golden Wheat is a complex ale that embodies the best of traditional, unfiltered wheat beers. With aromas of fresh citrus and delicate spices, this beer should be savored with lighter fare such as seafood or grilled chicken. And skip the slice of lemon... this is a wheat ale with a flavor that stands up on its own!

Bottle. Lemon peel, coriander, yeast, and wheat malt aroma. Pale yellow color with small head. Musty lemon peel, yeast, and wheat malt flavor. Dry finish. This is very witbier-like - an excellent beer.

Courtesy of sebletitje. Pours gold with a moment of a white head. The aroma is a bit bubbly tart notes, some banana and wheat. The taste explodes with carbonation making for a thin mouth feel. I get tart apricot, some wheat and a bit of harshness from the carbonation. It ends with lingering wheat and dryness.

750ml bottle. Nov 08’ date. pours golden, lightly hazy, white head that seemed to melt away before my eyes. aroma was funky and tart with notes of wheat. taste, wheat, lots of carbonation, hints of hops and spices for a light vinegary palate with a skunky tart finish. This is not what I had expected, especially after it was recommended to me.

Bottle 75cl. @ Weekend of Tarts After TastingUnclear medium yellow orange color with a huge, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheaty, sourish, grass, citrus, moderate yeasty, corriander - clove. Flavor is moderate sweet, tart and sourwith a average to long duration. Infected IMO but maybe that’s just how it is made ! Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. Hard to drink not nice, only to share with many people ;o) [20090530]

Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Wheat, spice, and yeast aroma with some light lemon citrus. Wheat/malt flavor with yeast, light spice, and light tartness. Medium-light bodied. Wheat and malt linger with yeast and spice.

Bottle from Ledgers Liquors. Orange tinged gold color with a fizzy white head that went poof. Aromas of citrus and grain. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Whoa! The first flavor is barnyard. Excellent. There’s hop, grain and some florality, but this is really interesting stuff. More like a real saison than standard old American wheat ale. And at 5% this is sessionable funk!

Picture sent in. Bottled on March 27, 2008. Pours with a huge, frothy white head covering a cloudy yellow body. Aroma of berries, lemon, clove, wheat and honey. Taste is completely without any sweetness. Some citrus, wheat and bready malts. Highly overcarbonated fizziness. Dry mouthfeel. Feels unbalanced and dry.

Bottle from Odeed; Nose of yeast, lemon, and light spices; yellow with a huge, pale yellow, long-lasting, glass-lacing head; flavor is grainy, yeasty, withsome peppery spices and some tartness un the finish; no fruity esters like a typical wheat has at least some of.
