Bottle courtesy of Gunfryd. Practical clear golden body with lively carbonation and a small, fast disappearing white head. Aroma is apple with some overripe fruit and light acidity. Flavor is both sweet and acidic with apple and something difficult to identify, but it slightly unpleasant and don’t remind me of gooseberries really. More like ripe, almost rotten fruit. Medium body and sweet/acidic aftertaste with the same flavors as the main flavor. Not totally undrinkable, but not very pleasant either. Strange and kinda unbalanced. Ending up to sweet for me, almost sticky even if it’s acidic as well.

Nice fizzy-creamy shortlasting head. Aroma is strange sour-ish mineraly, sorrel, ashes, fruit stones, paper, minerals, apple cores, old hay, herbs, sawdust, apple peel, rubber, burnt toast, alcohol, old fallen apples. Taste is sour-ish dry mineraly, sorrel, unripe gooseberries, minerals, ashes, fruit stones, apple cores, apple peel, sour apples, grass, burnt toast, weeds, paper, berry skin, citrus acid. Medium bitterness, slightly sour-ish metallic mouthfeel. Just weird.

750 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. Pours sparkling pale golden with a large but shortlived head. Aroma of apples, crushed red gooseberries and some less pleasant unfresh notes, bordering on bandaid and vomit. The flavour is somewhat better, fairly fresh with notes of apples and gooseberries, some bandaid in the finish. Not one to continue with, Balholm. Won’t buy again.
