Bottle - 2013 edition thanks to douglass88! Pours inky black with a small brown head that dissipates pretty quickly leaving some lacing. Aroma is strong, lots of bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, a touch of molasses, coffee. Flavor follows, somewhat hot, lots of bourbon and chocolate. Vanilla less pronounced than in the nose, coffee more. Medium sweet, medium bitter, a decent amount of acidity from the wood and coffee. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Pretty hot.

On tap at the 2013 Cellar Stash Event. Now, this beer is amazing. If it had some distribution it would hit very high ratings on Rate Beer. It just got better and better as I drank it. Will bottles be as good? I believe this was aged in Pappy barrels. Pours a jet black color with a medium brown head. The aroma is light out: huge bourbon, coffee, roast, vanilla, more bourbon. The flavor is sweet roasted malts, chocolate, bitter roast, huge vanilla and bourbon, heat, some light charred wood. Excellent slick palate. Very damn good. Blew me away.
