On tap at the brewery. Aroma is very coffee forward with a nice nutty and fruitiness. Light acidity and vanilla character. Light dark fruit character as well with faint chocolate notes. Puts a dark brown with lighter brown notes on the edges and a small, moderately thick tan head that recedes quickly to the edges. Medium lacing and moderate legs. Flavor has a light sweetness upfront turning to a moderately light acidity. Moderately strong coffee notes with medium light dark fruit character. Medium low bitterness and a hint of alcohol spice in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice tart dark beer. I think the coffee helps hide the transition from dark to sour beer that I don’t usually like on the palate.
