Bottle, 6.5%. Malty aroma, a little sweet malts. Clear dark chestnut colour. The flavour is nicely malty. Not sweet, but well-balanced with the alcohol. A little creamy and a good alcohol mouthfeel.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and deep amber with a small tan head. Roasted malt, slight breadish and with a touch of hops in the aroma. Sweet caramelish with a light bitterness nicely counterbalancing the malt notes. Roasted malt flavoured finish.

Bottle from trade with Papsoe. It pours a clear, dark golden to brown body, topped by a small, off-white head. Quite neutral aroma with sweet malts and a touch of cellar. Slightly cellarish flavor too, with caramel and dried fruits. Full-bodied, and quite dry for a doppelbock. Sweetish finish with dried fruits. A quite boring doppelbock, far from impressing. (090327)
