Pint at the cidery pours a clear dark gold, no head.  Nice nose, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, sweet apples, Graham cracker.  Super inviting.  Flavor doesn't pop as much, apple pie, apple juice, a little medicinal, maybe the spices got tannic-y.  Off dry finish, oily.  8 2 6 2 13

Fairly hazy deep copper and bronze coloured body with an ultra-fast-dying, but very large at first (5 centimetres tall) off-white head. Aroma of limes, apple, lemon and tons of ginger powder - a lot and very spicey throughout, but nice and exactly what I was expecting from the name. Light-bodied; Deep apple and spiced pear notes dominate with some allspice, coriander seed, canela and of course the deep ginger powder throughout with a lot of caramelised sugar sweetness and some light dry and yeastie/bready notes noticeable as well. Aftertaste shows the spices and pears/apples more than anything with some light dryness and herbal characteristics really shining through towards the end, but of course this is all about the initial deep pungency of the spices and apples. Overall,  a nice and pungent cider with a great layer of spices and dry notes with a lot of sweetness still, but a good option, especially when you want a little spice! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 15-June-2020 for US$3,49 sampled at my house here in Washington on 07-August-2020.
