The Tawny Port Barrel Aged version of B/A/Y/S is an Imperial Stout aged on 100 year old, reclaimed chestnut. Hazelnuts and cherries were added for good measure earning this brew its acronym name.

Dark chocolate, buttery caramel nose, almost butterscotch, but not quite. Black, medium tan head. Charred oak, creosote, raisin. Quite dry, chalky, medium body, easy carbonation.

3oz sample at the brewery pours an inky black with some beige head. Nose is malty, boozy, coffee, cracker. The port comes through more in the flavor, sweet, a little grapey, wood shavings, raisins, pencil lead, black pepper. Slick finish.

3 oz draft pour at Adroit. Black with tan head. Aromas of oak and wood, Port, dark chocolate. Tastes of Port, oak, dark chocolate, roast, lingering wood. Full body with a dry finish.
