Dark amber color. The aroma is sweet, a bit herbal, and with very light chemicals (the product for polishing wood furniture). The flavor is quite balanced, between sweetness, alcohol and herbal bitterness, but the final is short, even if still with a light herbal touch. Pleasant.

25 cL bottle. Pours dark orange, golden and with no head. Alcohol and spiced aroma. Sweet flavour, light herbal and mild spiced. Doesn’t have that raisin sweetness. Sharp edge and warming alcohol into the finish. Light fruity note into the far finish.

(Bottle 25 cl) Pours a clear, reddish amber. Sweet berry-like aroma with the alcohol showing already. Medium body stickingly sweet fruit accents - berries in particular - and lightly earthy elder notes. Warming alcoholic finish. 210308

200ml bottle. Slightly hazy brown body with no head. Aroma is fruit, herbs and moderate alcohol. Flavor is sweet bitter, fruity, heather, herbs and honey. A bit sweet and sticky body, not too much honey here which I actually prefer this time. Interesting for a taste, but not my kind of elixir. Thanx to Yngwie.

Bottle. (trade w/papsoe) Pours a bit hazy, brown body with no head at all. Oily. Quite a lot of alcohol in the aroma, along with berries, raspberry being the most evident, dried fruits and spices. Heather and honey in the far back. Vinous mouthfeel, quite low viscosity, some sweetness, lots of warming alcohol, berries, dried fruits, and spices in the background. The sweetness and warming feeling last for a long time. It takes some time to adapt to the flavors and aromas of this one, but after a while, it turns out to be a nice mead, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to drink a whole bottle. (071018)

This mead is very red with no head. The aroma is of cowberries and raspberries. The flavor is very sweet with notes of havtorn (seathorn?), cowberries, and raspberries.
