Aura is a pale and fresh lager with a pleasant saaz hopping. The fresh flavor is aromatic and balanced. Aura has been brewed to celebrate the 120th birthday of the original Aura beer (brewed in Turku), as well as the 775th birthday of the city of Turku, the oldest city of Finland. The hopping has been considerably reduced compared to the original recipe. 10.3°

Aura is light yellow beer with thin white head. In the aroma there is grass and little sweetness. Flavour is slightly sweet and there are also some nice hops. There are some bitterness but too watery palate spoils the nice aromas of hops. There are some good things in the Aura but it is too watery and so it can’t success.

33cl bottle. Another typical Finnish lager, amber with a loose white head; grainy aroma; full bodied, but remarkably tasteless; sweet malty finish with a trace of hops.

330ml bottle. Lasting white foam over a deep golden body. Slightly grassy aroma with hints of malt. The initial taste is grainy followed by distinctive notes of apples and quite bitter lemons. Thin palate (thanks to Marko for bringing a bottle all the way from Tampere to The Midnight Sun Witchcraft Conference in Vardø - 01.07.2007)

A light yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of alcohol and hops. While the flavor is plainly sweet malty with some notes of hops. The mouthfeel is very sparkling.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pilsener golden with a nice, creamy, hoppy nose. Rather light-bodied with a good malty feel, but eventually the bittering hops take over resulting in a pronounced, bitter finish. 030106

Bottled. Pale yellow with fizzy, brief head. Aroma of apple and toffee. Sweet and raw, heavy on vegetables, cider and glue. Sharp, fizzy mouthfeel. Offensive and only consisting of flaws with no redeeming features.

Bottled. Golden colour, white thin, disappearing head. Malty hoppy aroma. Bready malty flavour with strong hoppy bitterness. A bit skunky aftertaste. Very watery.

Light, golden, slightly sour macro lager of no particular distinction besides a slight graininessand the fact that I had it in Jurmo. Jurmo is a damn fine place to relax.
