The epitome of good West Funen tradition. Vestfyen Easter Brew is a seasonal beer in the export beer category and of the same alcohol content as Prins Kristan. Vestfyen Easter Brew is a dark beer with a fine full body. It has preserved a pleasant bitterness that contributes to a nice taste experience.

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a small, white head. Too weak on the nose, but some alcohol, fresh fruits and malts can be found. Ripe red apples? The flavor is on the sweet side, with pale malts, some alcohol and a little bitterness. Rather short finish. Full body. The alcohol is bearing this beer, balanced by the malty sweetness. Would benefit from a more generous hopping and less evident alcohol. (090415)

330 ml bottle. Nice dark golden body with a diminishing off-white head. Aroma is moderat malty. Flavor is slightly sweet malty with some caramel and a pronounced bitterness. It’s a commercial brew, no doubt, but surprisingly balanced and quite pleasant as a pilsner.

33cl bottle. Pours clear golden with a small egg white head and lacings. Nose is sweet of fruit, corn and grass. Watery palate. A lot of grain and grass. They, vestfyen, can do worse!

33 cL bottle, Vestfyen Påske Krudtugle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a dense white head. Slight acidic grainy aroma with a small sweet cornish accent and hops. Sweet conish at first, goes into a subtle caramel yet dominantly malty/grainy flavour before a sharp bitterness takes over into the finish which is dry and bitter.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pretty, pale amber (colourant) with a fine head. Malty flavour with the typical Vestfyen tang (although not completely unpleasant). Weak sweetness and a distinct hoppy finish. Basically just a strong lager with darker malts. 140303

(Bottle 33 cl) As "Vestfyen Påskekrudtugle" Neat, fully golden colour (partly from added colour) and a rather lively head. Aroma reminding me of cream soap... Watery body with a malty and light bitter feel. Not really unpleasant and not a bad choice considering the price. 120300
