75 cL bottle, as Bøgedal Nr. 0159. Pours thick, pitch black and with a dense chocolate brown head. Dry and roasted malty aroma. Roasted malt flavoured and distinct liqourice note. Subdued sweetness that goes into a mild acidic roasted flavour and somewhat hoppy bitter too. Mild fruity note from the hops as well. Starts somewhat brutal roasted and slowly unfolding several layers of hops and yeast notes. Ends dry and fruity, persisting roasted liqourice and mild chocolate touch.

(Bottle 75 cl) Nr. 60. Pours a clear mahogany with a warm, reddish glow. Handsome, light brown head leaving laces. Lightly burned malt aroma. Medium-bodied with sweetish, roasted malt and a slightly burned edge. Some bitterness from the burned malt. (Bottle 75 cl) As Nr. 27 Very dark mahogany with a warm, reddish tint and a creamy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose and some very fruity, lightly perfumy notes. Flavour is very malty, hard roasted malt, but still manages to be soft, smooth and accessible. Short, dry hoppy finish. Rather lovely. Total score 3.6 271105
