Kumpf Kristall Weizen, nach dem legendären Rezept des Kumpf Champagner-Weizenbiers aus den 60er Jahren wird es extra eingebraut, extrem kalt gelagert, glanzfein filtriert und mit mehr als 7g/l Kohlensäure in Flaschen abgefüllt. 2016 wurde es durch die World Beer Awards zum weltbesten Kristall Weizen ernannt.

500 ml bottle as Kristall, new modern blue label. It’s clear golden with foamy head. Smoked salmon, lemon, wheat, banana, clove, some vanilla and nutmeg. Dry zesty sourness and sweetness, slightly bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry zesty spicy fruity finish. Finally, a very good Kristallweizen!

500ml bottle as Kumpf Weizen Kristall, from Beru Vykhodnoi in Moscow. Pours clear gold with a massive white head. Aroma is what, malt, faint banana. Taste is light sweet, wheat, clove and faint banana. Light bitter finish. Light bodied. Generally drinkable but nothing special.

Appearance: Clear gold with a huge white frothy head of eternal retention. Aroma: Wheat bread, grain, clove, distant hop. Taste: Light sweet, low to light bitterness. Pale and wheat malt, Distant banana & clove, hop. Mouth feel: Medium Medium minus body, average carbonation. Summary: Drinkable.

Bottle at Schosslebrau in Sulzbach. Pours yellow golden with a foamy white head. Aroma is malty, bit of lemon and coriander. Taste is a bit thin, a little banana, lemon and cloves. Not particularly great to be honest

Süßlich-weiziger Geruch, schöne hellgoldene Farbe. Der Antrunk ist mild-weizig mit einer angenehmen Süße. Im Hauptteil wird das Bier Kristallweizentypisch mit einer schönen mild-samtigen Note. Dazu angenehm süßlich-weizig, aber nicht zu süß. Der Nachgeschmack ist lang anhaltend weizig, aber einen Tick zu wässrig für meinen Geschmack.

500ml Flasche. Ins Glas ergießt sich ein klares goldgelbes Bier, viel CO2, viel Schaum. Geruch hefig, leicht malzig fruchtig. Geschmack hefig, fruchtig, im Abgang leicht würzig.

(bottle) Clear, golden coloured effervescent hue with a big frothy white head. Slightly dusty and moderately sweet wheat-malty nose with notes of banana and a touch of cloves and muscat. Light-sweet flavour, quite slim bodied with a lively carbonation. Slim wheat-malty base with a light sourish citrus- and banana-fruity note. Slim, slightly fruity and wheaty finish with light phenolic spices. Plain and dispensable brew. 16.XI.08

Bottle. Banana, orange, wheat malt and yeast aroma. Clear golden yellow with moderate head. Primarily wheat malt flavor - no noted fruit flavor. A decent but standard wheat beer.
