Kumpf Kristall Weizen, nach dem legendären Rezept des Kumpf Champagner-Weizenbiers aus den 60er Jahren wird es extra eingebraut, extrem kalt gelagert, glanzfein filtriert und mit mehr als 7g/l Kohlensäure in Flaschen abgefüllt. 2016 wurde es durch die World Beer Awards zum weltbesten Kristall Weizen ernannt.

Bottle 50cl. @ [ Fastelavns Tasting Ulfborg ].Clear medium yellow orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, banana, rubber notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. Golden with a disappearing white head. Aroma dominated by clove, with some banana and white bread. Fruity flavour with clove and a cookie note.

Bottle, 4.9%. The aroma is like a Hefeweizen, only a bit weaker. Banana with a hint of citrus. Clear golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is also weaker, there is some banana, not much citrus, though. Some sweetness, but not too much. Slightly high carbonation. OK mouthfeel.

bottle, thank you pivnizub! Clear golden yellowl, fruity nose. Light-bodied, a bit fruity and malty with some rather shy hops in the finish. Refreshig.

50 cL bottle, courtesy of MiP. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge, dense and chalk white head. Mild estery wheat aroma, light bubblegum like. Sweet wheaty, estery and light orange fruity to a mild bubblegum flavour. Goes gradually medium dry. Lasting estery and dry finish.

Bottle. Clear, golden, beaten-egg-white-like foam, lazy carbonation, Clovey, lemony nose with a nice touch of cooked, almost rotten vegetables. Light sweetish-sourish flavour, light bodied, but sticky. Lemony-fruity finish, also sticky. No, no pleasure........

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Flavor like a very normal weizen, nothing special. Finish could be a little bit more intense. Good beer.

(Bottle 50 cl) Very beautiful fully golden and clear beer with continually sparkling bubbles from the bottom and quite a steady white head. This is not my favorite style but it’s a decent beer.The wheat is present but too much has disappeared in the filtration. The fruit esters are gone. 050604

A hazy orange beer with a white head. The aroma is of yeast and wheat. The flavor is totally dominated by wheat on a dry background.

Banana and clove present in the nose, a sodalike quality and a tiny whif hops as well. hayish golden,heavily carbonated, big fluffy head. Empty hayish flavors, a hint of banana and yeast. Body is stripped of all the good stuff - the rest is just watery and boring. Slight banana aftertaste. I do not like Kristall either.
