This dark, rich saison is inspired by Jumeirah Beach, the Persian Gulf break that outlines Dubai's iconic high-rise coastline. The surprisingly bright citrus notes and aromas in this obscure, non-traditional saison comes from a heavy dose of black limes, with an undercurrent of herbal and earthy flavors and finishes with subtle fruit and tart notes.

Our seasonal Endless Saison Series is inspired by surf spots around the globe. The flavor profile of each saison is derived from the tastes and ingredients cultivated in the locale that inspired the beer.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a very thick, and super long-lasting tan head, about six centimetres tall. Aroma of alcohol, hay, limes, grass, wheat, grain, rye, toasted malt and a dose of light spices - quite strong throughout. Medium-bodied; Strong roasted malt and rye flavours at first with a lot of grain, some heavier lime and citrus notes as well with a dose of toffee and caramelised sugars towards the end. Aftertaste shows the grainy flavour with a lot of spices, some limes, rye, grass and hay notes, but the strongest by far are the black pepper notes which give this a big kick and deeper flavour than I'd expect from this, and given the specialty grains and deeper malt notes, this one hits hard and stays hard throughout with a significant alcohol punch towards the end as well. Overall, a strong and deep beer that shows some nice saison-y notes, but more of a herb/spice beer that goes well and is nice enough to be variant from the 'typical' saison. Nice to sample! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 16-March-2019 for US$2,79 sampled in my hotel room here in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on 26-May-2019.

$2.90 pint can, Wine Warehouse. Pours cola brown, perhaps darker, with a soft beige head. Aroma is lime, earth, pumpernickel. Flavor is tart line, metallic notes, bread crush, earth, roasted malt. Strange, but not bad.
