Sep. ’16. A 0.5 l can than poured a dark brown body with smaller beige head. Dark, roasted bread and some sweeter caramel in aroma. Simple malty. Flavor was lightly bitter from the roasted malt like coffee with equally strong sweetish counterpart from caramel, even some cocoa popped in. Quite grainy, too, which made it harsh on palate. Relatively thin bodied though with a short finish that showed metallic note except coffee and caramel. Well, could have been worse, it’s a decent supermarket dark lager.

Jun. ’15. A 0.5 l can that poured clear dark red-brown body with medium sized, off-white head. Roasted aroma of coffee and burnt bread. Flavors were as indicated in aroma, just much sweeter. MEdium bodied with moderate sugary and caramel finish. Not so bad, but still too sweet for a schwarzbier.

Can, dense bubbly head, deep brown color with Red hues, aroma of dark bread, charcoal and some coal, flavor of coffee and charcoal, quite strong bitterness that is a bit coarse, feels a little diluted. Fair, nothing too exciting.

Sweet. Too sweet. Cardboard. Bandaid. Dry. Pale maltiness. Weak, but drinkable.

Pours black volor with medium beige head. Nose is malts, yeast, slightly burnt, a bit metallic. Medium body with soft carbonation. Watery texture. Bittersweet. Aroma of burnt malts, yeast, grains, a bit smoke, some licorice and caramel. Some metallic off-notes in the aftertaste. Overall, not bad.

Can. Pours a dark amber brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel bitter flavor. Has a fruity malty grainy caramel finish.

Can. A brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt and bread, leading to a dry roasted finish. Boring.

Sample from 50 cl can. Clear, dark Amber color with a thin, off-white head. Sweet aroma with toasted notes, hints of coffee, chocolate and grasses. Taste is sweet. Medium body. Finishes dry and toasted with caramel malts and grasses. Straightforward Swarzbier.
