750ml bottle @ Black Damnation tasting, Koht, Tallinn. Bottle #944/2000. Pours pitch black with a small head. Aroma of roasty malts, syrup, wood, oak, honey, loads of peat, hints of licorice, coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is smooth, massively peaty, slightly syrupy and sweet, hints of stingy wood, oak, whisky, sweet licorice, honey and warming alcohol. Finish is lingering peaty, slightly boozy and syrupy with some wood and whisky, hints of honey and leather. A total peat overdose.

[ As Struise Black Damnation XXIV - Octopussy ].Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, sweet malt, wood, alcohol - whsiky, some peat but quit light. Flavor is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, smoke - peat, sweet malt, dark malt, chocolate, roasted, alcohol - whisky, light peat. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20170819] 8-3-8-4-16

Sampled @ 10th Danish Ratebeer Gathering, Ulfborg, Day 2. Opaque pitch black color, small light brown colored head. Smell and taste malts, balanced peat in there, I would have expected it to be heavily peated, malt bitter, liquor, not as alcoholic up front as some of the others from this series although it is still pretty heavy. Medium body and average carbonation.

Bottle @ Fonefan Summer Gathering. Black with a beige ehad. Aroma is sweet, roasted malty, wood and peated whisky. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. Oily. 190817
